Temporary Travel Pass Fraud Alert: Pahang JPJ Director’s Name Misused

Pahang: The Pahang Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that a temporary travel pass, purportedly for vehicle inspection and bearing the name and signature of its director, is fraudulent. The department emphasized that it has never issued such a document.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pahang JPJ confirmed that legitimate temporary travel permits do not require the director's signature and can be obtained at state JPJ counters or branches. The department has identified forgeries that misuse its name and the director's identity, highlighting its commitment to addressing document falsification and name misuse.

A police report was filed yesterday, and the department has vowed to take strict legal measures against those responsible to protect public interest. Additionally, Pahang JPJ has urged the public to exercise caution when buying or selling vehicles, especially through unverified sources or platforms. The department encouraged individuals to report any suspicious offers or claims related to its services.
