Terengganu: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) of Terengganu has been encouraged to expand its network of strategic collaborations with various agencies at the state level. MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman emphasized the significance of this approach in enhancing the effectiveness of programme implementation and service delivery to the public.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman highlighted the need to strengthen the already established good relationship between MACC and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). This close cooperation is crucial in supporting the enforcement duties of both agencies more effectively. He conveyed these insights in a statement today following his chairmanship of the Terengganu MACC Performance Meeting with the MACC Chief Commissioner at the Terengganu MACC office.
Abdul Halim further urged MACC personnel in the state to increase the number of talks and awareness programmes in primary and secondary schools. Such initiatives aim to instill the value of integrity among the younger generation, ensuring a future society that is well-informed about anti-corruption values.
In addition, he expressed appreciation for the dedication and commitment of Terengganu MACC personnel. Their excellence in carrying out responsibilities and achieving set targets, as presented at the meeting, was noteworthy. The accomplishments in operational performance, organisational management, governance initiatives, and community education programmes from 2025 to May 2026 reflect the strong commitment of Terengganu MACC personnel in strengthening the integrity agenda and raising anti-corruption awareness in the state.
Also present at the meeting were Terengganu MACC director Hazrul Shazreen Abd Yazid and Terengganu MACC (Prevention) deputy director Suryani Ali.
