TFC Bolsters Squad with Signings of Kamsoba and Haroon

Terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) have signed two new foreign players to strengthen the squad for the 2026/2027 Malaysia League season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) announced in a statement that winger Elvis Kamsoba, 29, and midfielder Habib Haroon, 26, have each signed one-year contracts with the Turtles, running from July 2026 to May 2027. Habib, who is from Bahrain, previously played for TFC from 2021 to 2023, while Kamsoba, who hails from Burundi, most recently featured for Immigration FC.

The statement highlighted the anticipated impact of these signings, noting that the arrival of these two foreign players is expected to strengthen and solidify the team as it prepares for a more demanding and competitive league campaign this season.

Speaking to reporters at the Gong Badak Sports Complex, Kamsoba expressed that TFC's strong reputation was the main reason behind his decision to join the club. Despite receiving three offers from other clubs, including one from outside Malaysia, he chose to move to Terengganu due to the club's large and loyal fan base. He stated his ambition to contribute to the club's history and aim for a top-two or three finish in the league.

Meanwhile, Habib shared his initial reluctance to return to Malaysia after leaving TFC at the end of 2023. However, the allure of Terengganu's beauty and the passionate support of the club's fans convinced him to rejoin the Turtles. He emphasized that the main reason for his return was head coach Nafuzi Zain, whom he regards as a father figure and hopes to help achieve good results in the league this season.
