Kuala lumpur: The remains of three victims, including a mother and her son, who were killed in a road accident along Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai near Gua Sejuk yesterday, were laid to rest today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the remains of the late Muhamad Syazwan Hakimi Ibrahim, 21, the driver of the Perodua Myvi, were buried at the Kampung Tegayong Muslim Cemetery, Melor, here at 8.30 am.
Meanwhile, the remains of single mother Maria Yusoff, 42, and her youngest son, Muhammad Ziekyr Iman Abli, 11, were laid to rest in a common grave at the Kampung Melor Lama Muslim Cemetery here at 10.30 am.
Maria and Muhammad Ziekyr Iman were passengers in the Perodua Myvi which is believed to have lost control before veering into the opposite lane and colliding with a trailer in the accident at about 7 am yesterday.
Maria's eldest daughter, Nur Balqis Abli, 21, sustained serious injuries in the accident and is receiving treatment at Gua Musang Hospital, while the trailer driver escaped unhurt.
