Three Hardcore Poor In Labuan Receive RM110,000 Homes Under Federal Housing Aid

Labuan: Three hardcore poor individuals in Labuan have each received a new home worth RM110,000 under a Federal Government housing assistance programme through the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister's Department.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the recipients, Rafa'al Gady, 37, and Salinah Jamal, 36, both from Kampung Lubok Temiang, and Masri Salim, 53, from Kampung Batu Manikar, received the keys to their new homes from Labuan Member of Parliament Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman on September 15.

Suhaili stated that the recipients had applied for the assistance through his Labuan MP Service Centre. Following the checks and screening process, they were found eligible for the assistance, and their applications were approved.

The recipients previously did not own homes and had been renting, while one of them had been living for years in a dilapidated house without water and electricity supply. Suhaili mentioned that each house took only about two months to complete, allowing the recipients to move into safer and more comfortable homes.

He emphasized that his office would continue to identify individuals and families in need of housing assistance, particularly those living in difficult conditions.
