Kuala lumpur: Three people were killed in a collision involving two vehicles along Jalan Besar Maran-Temerloh in Kampung Paya Pasir, Maran, early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations Mohd Salahuddin Isa stated that the crash involved a Perodua Alza multi-purpose vehicle and a Perodua Myvi. The department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 6.02 am and dispatched a team from the Maran Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.

"Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, comprising a male passenger in the Perodua Alza and two women travelling in the Perodua Myvi," he said in a statement. He further mentioned that two other individuals travelling in the Perodua Alza were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
