Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Multiple Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several states, effective until 4 pm today. This warning encompasses specific regions across Perak, Terengganu, and Pahang, including areas like Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, and Kuantan, among others.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, similar alerts have been announced for Selangor, Johor, and several districts in Sarawak, such as Kuching and Miri. In Sabah, the warning affects areas in the Interior, West Coast, and other regions, with towns like Kota Kinabalu and Tawau included in the advisory.

MetMalaysia has also released a first-category strong wind and rough sea warning for Terengganu and Kelantan, which will remain in effect until November 26. Northeasterly winds ranging from 40-50 km/h and waves reaching up to 3.5 meters are anticipated, posing risks to small boats and water activities.

Additionally, a separate warning highlights the potential for rising sea levels off the coasts of Terengganu and Kelantan, which may result in coastal overflow until tomorrow.
