Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Multiple Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rains, and strong winds expected to affect several states until 7 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the states under the warning include Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor, along with certain areas in Sarawak and Sabah.

In Penang, the areas likely to be affected are Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Selatan. For Perak, the warning covers Kerian, Larut, Matang dan Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, and Kampar.

The forecast for Kelantan suggests severe weather conditions in Jeli, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang, while in Terengganu, the warning applies to Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman. In Pahang, the bad weather is expected in Cameron Highlands, Lipis, and Jerantut. Hulu Langat in Selangor is also under the warning.

In Negeri Sembilan, the affected areas include Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin. Johor is also on the list, with Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru facing potential thunderstorms.

For Sarawak, the areas under warning are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sarikei (Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song and Bukit Mabong), Miri (Marudi), and Limbang. In Sabah, the warning is for Beaufort, Tawau (Tawau and Semporna), and Sandakan (Tongod).
