Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast to hit several areas in Kelantan, Terengganu, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak and Sabah until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a statement from the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued at 3.05 pm today detailed the specific areas in each state expected to be affected. In Kelantan, Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Jeli, and Tanah Merah are on alert for adverse weather conditions. Terengganu's Setiu, Kuala Nerus, and Hulu Terengganu are also in the forecasted storm path.

In Selangor, the storms are predicted to impact Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling. Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the areas of Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Kapit (Song), and Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh) are expected to experience thunderstorms.

The areas in Sabah that are likely to be affected include Tawau, Kunak, Semporna, and Lahad Datu. Residents in these regions are advised to remain cautious and stay updated with the latest weather information.
