Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Expected Across Malaysian States Until Tonight

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning regarding impending thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting several states, with the adverse weather conditions anticipated to persist until 7 pm and 9 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia announced that severe weather is expected to affect the entire region of Perlis and selected areas in Kedah, including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu, until 7 pm.

The warning also extends to Penang, where areas such as Seberang Perai Selatan, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Utara are forecasted to experience similar adverse weather. In Pahang, Bentong and Jerantut are on alert, while in Selangor, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, and Hulu Langat are expected to be affected. The district of Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan is also included in the warning.

Meanwhile, the entire state of Kelantan is under a severe weather warning expected to last until 9 pm. Similar weather conditions are forecasted for parts of Perak, including Selama, Larut Matang, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, and Kinta. In Terengganu, areas such as Setiu, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, Marang, Kuala Terengganu, and Kuala Nerus are expected to face the adverse weather.
