Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to hit several states in Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak until 5 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia announced that the affected areas include Kuala Lumpur, Perlis, Penang, Melaka, as well as specific regions in Kedah such as Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Perak, the areas of Manjung, Central Perak, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, and Muallim are also under warning.
The warning extends to Terengganu covering Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman, and in Pahang, the areas of Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, and Bera. Selangor will see potential impacts in Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat.
Other affected regions include Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin in Negeri Sembilan, as well as Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Johor Bahru in Johor. In Sarawak, areas such as Sri Aman, Betong (Saratok and Kabong), Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis and Miri) are also expected to experience adverse weather conditions.
