Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to impact the capital city, Putrajaya, and ten other states until 4 pm today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a statement indicating that the adverse weather conditions are forecasted to affect multiple regions including Kedah, Perlis, Penang, Perak, and Terengganu. Specific areas in Kedah such as Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu are expected to experience these conditions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning also extends to parts of Pahang, including Cameron Highlands, Raub, Jerantut, and Bentong. Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor are also under alert. In Negeri Sembilan, Jelebu, Seremban, and Kuala Pilah are affected, while in Johor, the areas include Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru.
In Sarawak, the regions likely to experience the harsh weather are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, and Mukah. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions against potential disruptions caused by the weather.
