Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Forecast for Nine Malaysian States and Territories

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds have been forecast for nine states, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya until 9 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) announced that regions expected to be affected include several areas in Perak, such as Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim. Similarly, in Kelantan, the areas of Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang are anticipated to experience adverse weather conditions.

In Terengganu, the forecast includes Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman. Pahang is also on alert, with Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin potentially experiencing similar weather patterns. In Selangor, areas such as Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Sepang have been identified as at risk.

The warning extends to Negeri Sembilan, and in Johor, Segamat is expected to be impacted. In Sarawak, the forecast covers Kuching, Sri Aman, and parts of Kapit and Miri. Additionally, the Interior of Sabah, including Beaufort and Nabawan, as well as Sandakan's Beluran, have been issued warnings.
