Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Forecasted in Malaysia Until 5 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to affect several regions across the Peninsula, Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan until 5 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlighted that in the Peninsula, the states of Perlis and several districts in Kedah, such as Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, and Padang Terap, are anticipated to experience severe weather conditions. Additionally, areas in Perak, including Manjung, Perak Tengah, and Hilir Perak, as well as Pahang's Cameron Highlands, Raub, Bentong, and Rompin, are expected to be affected.

Warnings have also been issued for Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Melaka. In Selangor, districts such as Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang are under alert. Similarly, Negeri Sembilan's Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, and Tampin, along with Johor's Tangkak, Segamat, and Muar, are expected to face adverse weather conditions.

In Sarawak, the affected areas include Kuching, Samarahan, Mukah (Matu, Dalat, and Mukah), Kapit (Song), and Miri (Subis, Telang Usan, and Miri). In Sabah, the regions of the Interior (Kuala Penyu) and Tawau (Tawau and Semporna) are on high alert. The territory of Labuan is also under a similar warning.
