Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are forecasted to hit Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and eight states until 6 pm today, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the eight affected states include Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, and Sarawak. Specific regions within these states, such as Larut, Matang and Selama in Perak, and Cameron Highlands in Pahang, are among those anticipated to experience adverse weather conditions.
In Sabah, areas including the Interior (Kuala Penyu and Beaufort), the West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Kota Belud), and Kudat (Kota Marudu) are expected to be impacted. Residents in these regions are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with weather announcements.
