Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Forecast In Eight Malaysian States Until 6pm

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit eight Malaysian states until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorology Department (MetMalaysia) issued a weather warning covering several regions. In Perlis and selected areas of Kedah, including Langkawi and Kubang Pasu, residents have been advised to prepare for adverse weather conditions. Pahang, particularly Cameron Highlands, is also under alert.

Selangor, with areas such as Kuala Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling, is expected to experience similar weather patterns. The weather warning extends to Negeri Sembilan, specifically targeting Seremban, Kuala Pilah, and Rembau, as well as parts of Johor, including Kluang, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi.

In Sarawak, regions such as Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman (Lubok Antu), Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Matu), and Kapit (Song) are on alert. Meanwhile, in Sabah, the warning applies to the West Coast (Ranau), Tawau (including Tawau and Semporna), and Sandakan (Tongod).
