Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast to affect several areas in Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Sabah, and Sarawak until 4 pm today. The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in a statement that the areas expected to be hit in Kedah are Sik and Baling, while in Penang, the Barat Daya and Timur Laut districts are likely to experience similar conditions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the districts expected to experience adverse weather conditions in Perak are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, and Kampar. Meanwhile, in Pahang, Cameron Highlands is forecast to be affected.

For Sabah, the areas likely to be affected are Pendalaman, specifically Beaufort. In Sarawak, it involves the districts of Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (including Pakan, Sarikei, and Meradong), and Mukah.
