TIARA LABUAN FETES 30 UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN DURING IFTAR

Tiara Labuan Hotel invited 30 orphans and underprivileged children to its annual charity buka puasa.

Tiara Hotel corporate social responsibility (CSR) head Nur’Ain Osman said the hotel has been carrying out the programme on a yearly basis as part of its CSR activities.

Each of them were given goodies and duit raya by the hotel manager Eugene Chin and Member of Parliament for Labuan representative Hamir Zahari.

“This is in addition to a long list of corporate social responsibilities that our hotel undertakes every year. We felt that it is our responsibility to extend our help as much as we can.

“Ramadan and its culmination, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, are times to spare a thought for the unfortunate among us,” Nur’Ain told Bernama.

She said Tiara Hotel has been organising the breaking of fast function for underprivileged children for more than 10 years consecutively.

Siblings – Mohd Kadir Jimmy, 12, and Muhamad Samir Jimmy, 16, from Kampung Gersik Lama lost their father last year, and relying solely on their elder brother to provide shelter and food for the family.

They expressed gratitude for the contributions to help ease their financial burden before celebrating Aidilfitri.
