Kuala Lampur:According to BERNAMA News Agency, TNG Digital Sdn Bhd and Webull Securities (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd have collaborated to introduce global share trading through GOfinance in the TNG eWallet. This partnership enables eligible Malaysians to access the United States, Hong Kong, and China A-share markets. Webull Securities (Malaysia) is a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Webull Corporation.
Desmond Teoh, TNG Digital's chief financial services officer, stated that this collaboration expands the financial services available through GOfinance by allowing users to invest overseas using an app they already use for daily payments and other financial services. He highlighted that the goal of GOfinance is to provide more financial choices within a familiar app, facilitating digital account opening and funding for overseas share investing.
Teoh noted that the partnership leverages TNG eWallet's extensive reach alongside Webull Malaysia's expertise, supporting a broader range of financial needs beyond payments. He emphasized the convenience of the integrated digital process, contrasting it with the cumbersome procedures he faced when purchasing his first US shares in 2009.
Kenneth Chan, CEO of Webull Malaysia, explained that the collaboration aims to minimize the hurdles for first-time investors. By integrating the investment experience within TNG eWallet, users are spared from downloading a new app and undergoing a separate onboarding process. Users will still need to complete electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification, but data from TNG eWallet can streamline the Webull account-opening process with user consent.
As of August 2026, GOfinance had 8.5 million users, with over four million transacting monthly and 46 percent holding multiple financial service products. In celebration of the launch, eligible users can earn RM30 worth of fractional shares in Apple Inc by accessing Webull Malaysia through GOfinance, depositing at least RM200 into their trading account, and maintaining the deposit for a minimum of 30 days, subject to specific terms and conditions.
