Johor bahru: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) has announced the implementation of temporary traffic diversions and restricted lane arrangements on the North-South Expressway (NSE) in Johor to facilitate rock blasting works as part of the expressway's widening project.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the diversions are scheduled to begin on March 10 at 10 pm and will continue until 5 am on March 11. The affected sections include KM23.9 to KM26.1 northbound and KM24.7 to KM26.1 southbound. The temporary measures are necessary for preparatory works and area clearance related to the North-South Expressway Additional Lane Construction Project, which is currently underway between Yong Peng (North) and Senai (North).
The statement from PLUS indicated that the stretch between the Kulai and Senai Intersection (North) will experience a complete closure to all vehicles at approximately 1 am for several minutes, ensuring maximum safety during the rock blasting operations. The route will be reopened after the completion of blasting, cleaning, and safety checks.
PLUS has advised highway users to plan their journeys in advance and utilize the PLUS application to receive the latest traffic updates. Additionally, users can access current traffic information through the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, the X@plustrafik application, and Electronic Message Displays (VMS) at selected locations.
