Trump Dances with Traditional Dancers Upon Arrival in Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: United States President Donald Trump, who began his visit to Malaysia today to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, was in a jovial mood as he danced along with the group of young traditional dancers greeting him during his arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, it was all smiles as he waved to those present at the airport upon disembarking from Air Force One and thereafter was received by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The American leader was entertained by performers to the tune of a zapin melody, welcoming him at the tarmac.

Trump, unable to hide his excitement, joined the dancers with his signature dance groove, briefly accompanied by Anwar, adding to the excitement of the President's first-ever and historic visit to Malaysia. This delighted the hundreds of dignitaries and officials present at the airport tarmac.

The President borrowed the Malaysian flag (the Jalur Gemilang) and the American flag from one of the performers before joining the group to wave both flags. The cheerful vibes were evident as hundreds of guests, including Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Hasan, greeted the American leader, setting a positive momentum ahead of the serious discussions at the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.

Trump had arrived at 9.54 am on Air Force One, which was earlier escorted by a Royal Malaysian Air Force FA 18 Hornet fighter jet. Together with Anwar, he then walked to the President's official vehicle known as 'The Beast,' flown in from the United States specifically for his transport during the visit.

Both leaders proceeded to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, which will be held from today till Oct 28. It is believed that more than 50 vehicles accompanied the Presidential convoy to the Malaysian capital.
