KUANTAN, Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah headed the list of 24 state award recipients in conjunction with the 65th birthday of the Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today.
Tunku Azizah was conferred the Sri Setia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah (SAAS) award alongside eight other recipients during an investiture ceremony at Balai Mahkota, Istana Abdulaziz here.
The newly-introduced SAAS award was also bestowed upon the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.
Also receiving the SAAS award, which carries the title Datuk Seri Setia, were Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan and Tengku Arif Temenggung Tengku Fahad Mua’adzam Shah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
Other recipients were Tengku Puteri Seri Teja Datuk Seri Tengku Muhaini Sultan Ahmad Shah, Tengku Puteri Seri Kemala Tengku Datuk Seri Aishah Sultan Ahmad Shah, Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Manja Tengku Datuk Se
ri Nong Fatimah Sultan Ahmad Shah and Tengku Puteri Seri Bongsu Tengku Datuk Seri Shahariah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also bestowed the Darjah Kerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Di Hormati award on Prince Ali Al Hussein of Jordan.
At the ceremony, the Sultan of Pahang also awarded the Sri Diraja Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SDSA) award, which carries the title Datuk Seri Diraja, to Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
His Royal Highness also conferred the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title Datuk Seri, to state legal advisor Datuk Saiful Edris Zainuddin, Prime Minister’s Department Public-Private Partnership Unit director-general Datuk Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and Royal Malaysian Air Force deputy chief Lt Gen Datuk Muhamad Norazlan Aris.
Other recipients of the SSAP award were Felcra Berhad chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, National Heart Institute (IJN) Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Department head Prof Datuk Dr Alwi Mohamed Yunus, I
JN cardiothoracic and vascular surgery senior consultant Prof Datuk Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib and Ancom Nylex Berhad consultant Datuk Ahmad Johari Tun Abdul Razak.
Two recipients received the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award, which carries the title Datuk Indera, namely Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore Datuk Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar and secretary-general of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, United Arab Emirates Datuk Dr Khalid Ghanim AlGaith.
Meanwhile, state Public Works, Transportation and Health Committee chairman Razali Kassim, Malaysian Ambassador to Italy Zahid Rastam and Asian Perlite Industries Sdn Bhd director Lukman Runia Albert were conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award, which carries the title Datuk.
Prince Ali Al Hussein’s aide Brig Gen (Rtd) Farid Moh’d Ali Hajamat Qat was the sole recipient of the Setia Al-Sultan Abdullah Pahang (SAS) award.
