Papar: Two people were found dead after a landslide buried three houses in Kampung Mook, near Papar, this afternoon. The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department reported that both victims were recovered after nearly four hours of search and rescue operations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victims were confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel. Their identities have yet to be confirmed. A distress call was received at 10.02 am, prompting an immediate deployment of a team from the Papar Fire and Rescue Station, which is located about 35 kilometers away from the site of the incident.

The operation concluded at 2.25 pm, although continued monitoring on site is taking place to ensure the safety of the area.
