Two Injured As Microlight Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing Near Tekah Airport

Taiping: Two men were injured after a microlight aircraft they were flying made an emergency landing in an open area near Tekah Airport, Taiping, yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Taiping Police chief ACP Mohamad Nasir Ismail stated that the police were alerted to the incident via NG MERS 999 at 10.30 am. The 46-year-old pilot and the 40-year-old trainee were taken to the Taiping Hospital for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

The emergency landing occurred due to an engine malfunction. The police chief mentioned that police would continue to monitor the situation and channel information to the relevant agencies to ensure that risk-control measures are implemented and the safety of nearby residents is safeguarded.
