TWO POLICEMEN KILLED IN ATTACK AT ULU TIRAM POLICE STATION


JOHOR BAHRU, – Two policemen were killed and another was injured in an attack on the Ulu Tiram Police Station early this morning.

State police chief Commissioner M. Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred at 2.45 am and involved a masked intruder armed with pistols and a machete.

The suspect was reported to have been shot dead at the scene.

Following the incident, the police seized a Walther P99 pistol and a HK MP5 rifle from the suspect.

Additional details will be provided by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, who is expected to arrive at the scene this morning.

The bodies of the deceased policemen and suspect, as well as the injured personnel, were sent to Sultan Ismail Hospital for autopsy and medical treatment, respectively.
