Kuala lumpur: Two senators, Datuk Ng Keng Heng and Niran Tan Kran, took their oath of office before Dewan Negara president Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Ng Keng Heng, who is the Johor MCA Liaison Committee treasurer, was appointed by the Johor State Legislative Assembly. His term will run from September 11, 2025, to September 10, 2028. He urged them to reflect on these matters and to ensure that the national interest is always safeguarded.

Ng, speaking at a press conference, highlighted his commitment to the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), describing them as the backbone of Malaysia's economy. He also expressed his intent to bring Johor's development agenda to the Dewan Negara to benefit the people.
