UDA Holdings Appoints Johari Shukri Jamil As President/CEO

Kuala Lumpur: UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA) has announced the appointment of Johari Shukri Jamil as the new president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Johari succeeds Mohd Salem Kailany in this leadership role.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, UDA highlighted Johari Shukri's extensive experience, spanning over 28 years in the corporate sector. His expertise in leadership, transformational change, and value creation are anticipated to be pivotal in driving UDA's growth phase.

Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini, the chairman of UDA, noted that Johari's appointment received approval from the Finance Ministry and the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry. He emphasized that Johari is expected to introduce new ideas and reforms, focusing on fresh dimensions, methods, and approaches. These efforts will align with UDA's primary objective of promoting the bumiputera socio-economic development agenda.

Johari Shukri's previous roles include serving as the executive vice-president of Business Development and the Transformation Office at Iskandar Investment Bhd, along with various senior positions within several Johor Corporation companies.
