KUCHING,The UNIFOR Complex in Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here will be a symbol of unity in Sarawak.
Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the complex can be used by all communities in the state for religious and non-religious purposes.

“I remember during the groundbreaking ceremony, some of the things that worried me was whether this building could be completed within the stipulated period,” he said when speaking at the handing over of the OP for the UNIFOR Complex here, today.
Uggah said the UNIFOR complex, costing RM75 million, is a 10-storey building and has a hall that can accommodate about 120 tables.
“We hope that after this, any party planning to host any event, do it here. The hall is for rent. Show support for UNIFORM (Unit for Other Religions ),” he said.
UNIFOR was established in 2017 by the Sarawak gover
nment to look after the welfare of non-Muslim religions and provide financial assistance for the physical development and upgrading of their houses of worship.
