Samarkand:Tashkent: Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (UniSIRAJ) is enhancing academic excellence through systematic programme quality management and assurance, aligning with the needs of the country's higher education sector.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, stated that UniSIRAJ, operating under the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs), currently offers 31 academic programmes across various levels. These include three Doctor of Philosophy programmes, three Master's, 16 Bachelor's degrees, seven Diploma, and two Foundation programmes.
It was noted that 26 of these programmes have obtained Full Accreditation (FA), while the remaining five hold Provisional Accreditation (PA) status. This demonstrates the university's commitment to quality assurance standards and requirements.
The Raja Muda made these remarks following a symbolic presentation of an Ibnu Sabil MAIPs contribution to the Embassy of Malaysia in Uzbekistan, which he attended after arriving at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport last Friday. He was accompanied by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, and their second daughter, Hajah Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail.
UniSIRAJ intends to maintain Full Accreditation status for its 26 programmes while working towards achieving Full Accreditation for the five with Provisional status. Continuous improvements are necessary to keep the academic programmes relevant and responsive to industry and stakeholder needs.
Additionally, Istana Arau reported that the Raja Muda is in Uzbekistan to officiate the 10th International Seminar on Nabawi Heritage (SWAN), organised by the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies (FPQS), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), in collaboration with UniSIRAJ. The seminar, themed 'The Prophetic Legacy in Leading through the Era of Global Instability,' will be held on October 6 and 7 at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Centre in Samarkand.
