Univar solutions: Univar Solutions LLC has acquired H.M. Royal, a speciality distributor with a century-long history, to strengthen its Performance Materials business and expand its presence in the United States.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the acquisition enhances Univar Solutions' Ingredients + Specialties division by expanding access to specialised products and technical expertise, particularly on the US East and West Coasts, where H.M. Royal has an established presence. The move is aimed at leveraging long-standing customer relationships in these regions.

Univar Solutions Chief Executive Officer of Ingredients + Specialties, Nick Powell, stated that H.M. Royal brings valuable technical expertise in rubber, plastics, and adhesives, as well as established customer and supplier relationships. This acquisition is expected to enable the combined business to better support customers across the US.

Joseph Royal, President of H.M. Royal, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting that joining Univar Solutions would allow the company to build on its expertise and create new opportunities for employees, customers, and supply partners.

The combined organisation aims to provide customers and supplier partners with broader product access, enhanced technical support, and improved supply continuity. This acquisition builds on the two companies' century-long industry experience.
