UOB Malaysia Achieves Record RM2.5 Billion NPBT in 2025

Kuala lumpur: UOB Malaysia reported a record net profit before tax (NPBT) of RM2.5 billion and a total operating income of RM4.9 billion for the financial year ended 2025. This achievement was driven by a 9.5 percent increase in operating profit and a reduction in expected credit losses, supported by writebacks of non-impaired assets.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, UOB Malaysia's NPBT saw a growth of 15.6 percent from the previous year's RM2.2 billion, while operating income rose by 4.5 percent to RM4.9 billion, up from RM4.7 billion in 2024. The increase in operating income was attributed to growth in net interest income from an optimized balance sheet, improved non-interest income, and higher contributions from the Islamic Banking sector.
