Putrajaya: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the United States has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing defence and security diplomacy throughout the ASEAN region. This assurance was highlighted during a courtesy visit by Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, the commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, at Perdana Putra in Putrajaya.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Prime Minister Anwar referred to the meeting as a valuable platform for deepening mutual understanding and facilitating the exchange of views on various regional issues. The discussions included efforts to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation between Malaysia and the United States.
