Value Of Trust Key To Nurturing Principled, Morally Upright Generation – KSN

Kuala lumpur: The value of trust should serve as the foundation in building families, guiding children to grow into principled individuals who uphold the responsibilities entrusted to them, said Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, he emphasized that a family founded on the values of love and trust not only fosters a sakinah (harmony and peace) household, but also nurtures a generation of faithful and morally upright individuals. "When the value of trust forms the core of a family, it will serve as the basis for every action and decision. We must believe that the family is the foundation of society's well-being. The cultivation of morals must start at home, where the values of love and discipline are first instilled. Parents serve as key role models in raising children who are faithful, morally upright, and responsible. A sakinah family is not merely a peaceful home but an institution that educates with love and wisdom," he said.

He expressed these views in his speech at the closing ceremony of the Annual Religious Conference of the Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (PUSPANITA) held today. The programme, themed 'Keluarga Sakinah, Generasi Amanah', was designed to discuss family management issues based on religious values, while also providing guidance and knowledge sharing for PUSPANITA members nationwide.

In the context of public service, Shamsul Azri highlighted that amanah is one of the M.A.L.A.Y.S.I.A. values under the Public Service Reform Agenda, which underpins the cultivation of a work culture emphasizing integrity, ethics, and responsibility among civil servants. "When every member of the public service strongly upholds the principle of trust, whether in performing duties, making decisions, or managing resources, the entire organisation and national administrative system will operate more transparently, fairly, and equitably," he noted.

The PUSPANITA Advisor also commended the association for its initiatives to empower civil servants and women in general. He remarked, "PUSPANITA is not just a welfare organization, but a movement that nurtures the mind and soul, integrating the spiritual, intellectual, and social aspects in harmonious balance. Organizing programmes like this proves that PUSPANITA is attuned to current needs in instilling religious and moral values within the framework of modernity. This is the face of PUSPANITA we are proud of, progressive, yet grounded in Islamic values and national culture."
