Vocalbeats.AI and NTU Singapore Collaborate on AI Scholarship

Kuala lumpur: Vocalbeats.AI, a Singapore-based artificial intelligence (AI)-powered audio company, has partnered with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) to establish the Vocalbeats.AI-Turing AI Scholarship. The scholarship aims to recognise and support outstanding undergraduates from NTU's College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS), in line with the company's commitment to developing AI talent.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Vocalbeats.AI Chief Executive Officer, Marco Lai Jinnan, highlighted the transformative impact of voice AI on global communication. He emphasized that the scholarship represents the company's commitment to nurturing world-class talent, noting the positive experiences they have had working with NTU students and graduates on real-world challenges.

Dean of NTU's College of Computing and Data Science and Vice President (AI and Digital Economy), Professor Luke Ong, commented on the collaboration, emphasizing the significance of industry-academia partnerships in developing AI expertise. He noted the value of providing students with practical experiences that align with industry needs.

Recipients of the scholarship will have the opportunity to engage in internships, receive mentorship, and explore potential career paths with Vocalbeats.AI as the company expands its global operations. This initiative is timely, given the increasing global demand for AI engineering talent, which continues to surpass supply. In Singapore, the National AI Strategy 2.0 aims to triple the country's AI practitioner pool, highlighting the critical role of industry and academic collaboration.

Vocalbeats.AI has further strengthened its engagement with universities through internship programs. Notably, one NTU graduate has transitioned into a full-time role, actively contributing to the company's research capabilities.
