Wan Rosdy Clocks Into New Pahang Administrative Centre

KUANTAN, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail officially began work at the new Sultan Ahmad Shah Administrative Centre, KotaSAS here.

He added that the new state administrative centre replaces the 50-year-old Wisma Sri Pahang, which requires much needed maintenance.

‘May Allah SWT provide His blessings so that Pahang remains peaceful and prosperous,’ he posted on Facebook today.

The new administrative centre, costing RM415.52 million, replaces Wisma Sri Pahang, which has been used since 1976, was inspired by Sultan Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The Sultan had previously said that the new administrative centre should be located in KotaSAS as it was time that Kuantan expanded to be a new residential location that could reduce traffic congestion in the city.

Al-Sultan Abdullah, who was Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the time, graced the officiation ceremony of the centre, which was designed based on the Pahang coat of arms, on Dec 7 last year.
