Rimba wangi: Water samples from Sungai Ketil have been sent to the Chemistry Department for testing after hundreds of fish were found dead in Rimba Wangi Recreational Park here recently. Kelantan Department of Environment (DOE) director Wan Aminordin Wan Kamarudin stated that immediate measures have been taken to monitor the river to prevent a recurrence of the incident.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Aminordin Wan Kamarudin highlighted the department's concern about the fish kill incident reported near the park. He assured that upon receiving such complaints, necessary actions, including constant monitoring, are initiated promptly. He noted that a prior complaint regarding dark water had been addressed, but now the focus is on the recent fish kill case.
Wan Aminordin also mentioned the uncertainty about whether the Fisheries Department has been notified to collect fish samples to determine the cause behind the incident.
