Klang: All necessary procedures, including discussions with residents and legal processes, have been completed following the order for 19 landowners in Kampung Jawa, Klang, to vacate their land for the West Coast Expressway (WCE) project. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari stated there would be no further negotiations, particularly on the compensation, as all processes, including arbitration, have been finalised.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, all procedures, including court and arbitration processes, have been completed. The compensation was determined by the arbitrator and not the developer, which is believed to be fair and reasonable. Amirudin expressed hope that all parties would act responsibly to resolve the matter, emphasizing that the state government would provide assistance where needed. He remarked that a 150-metre stretch in Kampung Jawa should not delay the entire WCE project.

Amirudin announced an extension until Nov 24 to give affected residents more time to relocate. He mentioned that the additional two weeks should be sufficient, as the final request for an extension had been approved.

When questioned about claims of the issue being framed along racial lines, Amirudin clarified that the government's actions were in the interest of public welfare. The Selangor government earlier announced the two-week extension for the 19 Kampung Jawa landowners affected by the vacate order for the WCE project.
