Kuala lumpur: Olympia Education Malaysia and the World Islamic Economic Development (WIED) will jointly organise the World Islamic Economic Week (WIEW) 2027 from April 19 to 25, 2027, as a platform to bring together academia, industry, entrepreneurship and the broader Islamic economic ecosystem.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Olympia chairman, who is also WIED chairman, Tan Sri Dr Yusoff Noor, stated that WIEW 2027 aims to facilitate broader discussions and collaboration on emerging economic opportunities and sustainable development. This initiative reflects Olympia's aspiration to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based economy founded on values, innovation, and sustainability, while strengthening Malaysia's position as an internationally recognised hub for education and the Islamic economy.
He made these remarks during his speech at the Olympia Strategic Collaboration and Community Impact Engagement 2026, held in conjunction with the W.I.S.H. Global Leadership Summit 2026, organised by Olympia. The event included the pre-launch of WIEW 2027 and several other initiatives undertaken by Olympia and WIED, namely the Sustainable Halal Economy Leadership Programme (SHELP), the Amanah Tunai, Aset dan Pusaka Digital Rakyat (e-ATAP) Campaign, and the Kuala Lumpur Education Centre (KLEC).
Meanwhile, Olympia chief executive officer Datuk Seri Rani Osman mentioned that the organisation of WIEW 2027 will be strengthened through collaboration with halal industry players, institutions of higher learning, the Halal Development Corporation (HDC), the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), state Islamic religious councils, and various related agencies.
