Woman Arrested For Assaulting 11-year-old Boy In Mantin

Mantin: Police have arrested a 30-year-old woman for allegedly assaulting an 11-year-old boy at a grocery store in the Sri Palma Villa residential area in Mantin yesterday. Nilai district police chief Supt Abdul Malik Hasim reported that the incident occurred around 12.30 pm when the boy was attacked while buying a drink. The suspect allegedly kicked and stomped on the victim's face and legs, also issuing a death threat during the assault.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the incident was captured on the store's closed-circuit television system and witnessed by a customer. The suspect, identified as a holder of a Person with Disability card, was arrested at 10.58 pm. Preliminary investigations suggest she may have mental health issues, as she was reportedly hallucinating and accused the boy of theft without evidence.

The victim received medical treatment at Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban, where he was found to have swelling on his nose and bruises on his legs. The case is being investigated under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code, addressing voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
