Kuala lumpur: A 40-year-old local woman was found dead in an apartment in Ampangan here yesterday. Seremban district police chief ACP Mohd Yatim Osman reported that police received a call at 5.39 pm after members of the public noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the residential unit.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a team of police officers and personnel, along with the Seremban Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), conducted an inspection of the scene. The apartment was accessed with the help of the fire department, revealing the woman's body, which is believed to have been deceased for five to six days.
ACP Mohd Yatim Osman confirmed that there were no signs of a struggle, criminal activity, or forced entry at the location. Initial investigations indicated that the victim was living alone and suffered from health issues. Medical officers at the scene confirmed her death, and the body was transported to Rembau Hospital's Forensic Department for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.
The incident has been classified as a sudden death (SDR), and further investigations are currently underway.
