Melaka: A total of 73 per cent of the 1,993 complaints received during 10 Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) programmes held in Melaka this year have been successfully resolved so far. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh stated that the figure was not the true measure of success, emphasizing that the real achievement lies in the satisfaction of the people when their issues are addressed.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh encouraged residents of the Bukit Katil state constituency to utilize the opportunity to submit complaints, views, and suggestions directly to the exco members and elected representatives present. He expressed hope that all issues raised during the two-week WRUR programme in the Bukit Katil constituency would be recorded, considered, and resolved according to priority.

The announcement was made during the state-level National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Day celebration and the launch of the Bukit Katil WRUR programme. Also in attendance were Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari, who is also the Bukit Katil assemblyman, and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya.

In his remarks, Adly Zahari mentioned that 258 complaints and requests from Bukit Katil constituents had been recorded for review and action by the relevant government agencies and departments, under the supervision of the state executive councillors.
