In a statement today, Yayasan MBI said the contribution was aimed at improving learning facilities and school infrastructure while creating a more comfortable and conducive environment for teachers and students.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Yayasan MBI head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor stated that education was one of the foundation's key strategic priorities, with about two-thirds of its initiatives focused on the sector. He emphasized that Yayasan MBI views education not merely as social assistance, but as a long-term investment in human capital development and the future of Selangor. Consequently, the foundation continues to focus on initiatives that directly benefit students, teachers, and educational institutions.
The allocation was announced earlier at the Yayasan MBI Education Aspiration 2026 event, which served as a platform to strengthen strategic partnerships and recognize educators' contributions to the state's education agenda. Key education initiatives by Yayasan MBI include the Back to School (BTS) Tour Programme, collaborations with Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), the Selangor People's Tuition Programme (PTRS), and the Didik Kasih Programme (PDK), all of which provide free learning support.
According to the statement, these initiatives reflect Yayasan MBI's comprehensive approach to expanding access to education and providing direct assistance to improve the quality of the school environment. Yayasan MBI is also strengthening strategic cooperation with the Selangor State Education Department (JPNS) to ensure that its initiatives are implemented effectively and based on actual needs, benefiting students, teachers, and schools that require support.
Through collaboration with JPNS and other stakeholders, Yayasan MBI will continue efforts to develop a more inclusive, quality, and sustainable education ecosystem in line with Selangor's development aspirations.
