Yinson Holdings Bhd Engages in Preliminary Discussions for Potential Privatisation at RM2.35 Per Share

Kuala lumpur: Yinson Holdings Bhd's major shareholder, Yinson Legacy Sdn Bhd (YLSB), has initiated early discussions with MISC Bhd, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), its affiliates, and other stakeholders regarding a potential proposal to privatise the company. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Yinson, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, announced receiving a letter from YLSB outlining a potential privatisation at an indicative offer price of RM2.35 per share. The proposed plan involves acquiring all remaining ordinary shares in Yinson not already held by YLSB and certain parties acting in concert with it, while EPF would retain its existing effective shareholding in the company. Yinson stated that discussions are ongoing, with further assessments being undertaken as the final offer price remains subject to change based on due diligence and the commercial viability of the proposed privatisation. The initiative is subject to further evaluations, negotiations among the parties, execution of definitive agreemen ts, determination of the final offer price, and other requisite approvals and conditions. Yinson highlighted that there is no guarantee that these discussions will result in the implementation of the proposed privatisation. The notice does not represent a firm intention to privatise Yinson, and there is no certainty that any offer or transaction will ultimately be made. Shareholders and investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in Yinson's securities. YLSB committed to notifying any material developments in line with applicable laws and regulations. At the close of trading today, Yinson's shares declined by seven sen to RM2.15, with 11.37 million shares traded.
