Kuala lumpur: Accountant General Datuk Zainani Jusoh has been appointed an adjunct professor of the Faculty of Accountancy of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The university said in a statement today that the appointment is for a two-year term, effective December 15, 2025.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the appointment seeks to enhance collaboration between the university and the Accountant-General's Department (JANM) in public sector accounting, professional development, research, and academic publications. The initiative aims to ensure that the accounting curriculum remains relevant and aligned with current requirements in government financial governance.

The collaboration is expected to impact academic, professional, and research development, while reinforcing UiTM's position as a progressive higher education institution attuned to the needs of industry and the nation's public sector. Meanwhile, UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Shahrin Sahib Sahibuddin conveyed his congratulations on the appointment, describing it as a notable recognition for UiTM's Faculty of Accountancy.

'Her extensive experience in public sector financial management will bring significant added value to the academic and professional development of both students and faculty members,' he said.
