The GSF 2.0 mission set sail from the Port of Barcelona to Gaza at about 1 pm local time (7 pm Malaysian time) on April 12. This mission brings together an international coalition committed to breaking the blockade on Gaza in response to the worsening humanitarian crisis in the territory.

The mission involves more than 80 vessels with the participation of about 1,000 individuals, encompassing maritime efforts and ground support movements, including legal advocacy and solidarity campaigns in various countries.

Meanwhile, the event saw Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YAPEIM) channel contributions amounting to RM3.1 million, benefiting 29,100 recipients comprising students and those in need. At the same event, YAPEIM also launched the Keep Malaysia Clean-YAPEIM (KMC-YAPEIM) campaign, an initiative under the 'Keep Malaysia Clean' (KMC) programme launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Oct 1, 2025.

YAPEIM has been selected as the pioneer to implement the KMC initiative, representing religious agencies to enhance awareness among employees and the public on the culture of cleanliness, integrity, and harmony.
