Kuala lumpur: A total of 10 areas in Peninsular Malaysia recorded Level 1 hot weather conditions, or the alert category, as of 4 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected areas include Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, and Machang in Kelantan, as well as Jerantut, Temerloh, and Maran in Pahang. Other areas experiencing these conditions are Kinta in Perak, Gombak in Selangor, Jempol in Negeri Sembilan, and Segamat in Johor.
MetMalaysia stated that the Level 1 status is issued when the daily maximum temperature reaches between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days. For the latest updates on daily hot weather status, the public can refer to the department's announcements.
