Johor Bahru: A total of 3,802 pilgrims from Johor are scheduled to perform the Haj pilgrimage this year, as announced by the State Islamic Affairs Committee Chairman, Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid. They will embark on their spiritual journey in stages, with the first flight scheduled to depart on May 14 from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Fared, who is also the Semerah Assemblyman, stated that the group includes 500 individuals from the Johor Government Delegation, comprising state government civil servants and retirees. He revealed that Tabung Haji (TH) had offered the pilgrimage to 5,000 people, but only 3,802 met the criteria, as some did not pass the health screening.

Mohd Fared expressed his gratitude to Tabung Haji for their role in managing the pilgrims from Johor. He shared these updates with reporters at the Semerah State Constituency Aidilfitri Open House.
