Bukit Jalil: A total of 60,000 football fans are expected to attend the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifying Football Match between Malaysia and Vietnam at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tonight at 9 pm.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Cheras deputy district police chief Supt Ridzuan Khalid stated that all stadium entrances will open as early as 5.30 pm. Security checks will be conducted on spectators before entry to prevent prohibited items from being brought into the stadium. Items such as firecrackers, fireworks, flares, helmets, laser pens, sharp objects, dangerous weapons, liquor, umbrellas, sticks, power banks, water bottles, ice cubes, lighters, matches, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, drones, speakers, and drums (without permission from the MFL) are banned.
Ridzuan Khalid advised the public to use public transport to the Bukit Jalil National Stadium to ensure smooth traffic flow. He urged people to avoid the area around the stadium for non-match-related business. Compliance with police instructions is requested, and patience on the road is encouraged. Vehicles obstructing traffic will be towed or fined.
He further emphasized that strict action will be taken against any individual or group attempting to cause chaos, riots, or excessive provocations during or after the match.
