Agrobank to Subsidize Study Costs for Employees Pursuing Advanced Degrees

Hanoi:Agrobank will cover 50% of the tuition fees for its employees pursuing Master's and PhD degrees through the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Qualification (APEL Q) program, starting this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Agrobank's group president and CEO, Datuk Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, stated that the remaining 50% of tuition costs can be financed by employees through the Staff Educational-i Financing Programme. This programme offers financing up to RM50,000 or the remaining actual cost of education, whichever is lower, with a zero per cent profit rate throughout the financing period.

The CEO emphasized that this initiative reflects Agrobank's commitment to fostering lifelong learning and enhancing employee qualifications and competencies. APEL Q provides an alternative pathway to academic qualifications by recognizing professional experience, allowing employees to use their work experience as a foundation for further studies.

Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah highlighted that the programme is a strategic investment in developing Agrobank's talent, aiming to create a competent and adaptive workforce capable of meeting evolving industry demands. The bank is committed to strengthening human capital development by providing relevant learning and skill enhancement opportunities to support its role as a development financial institution.

He also noted that this initiative aligns with Agrobank's support for government efforts to enhance the career development of public servants.
