Kuala lumpur: Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek's contract as Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) Chairman expired yesterday, marking the end of his leadership term which began on July 1, 2023.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Felda released a statement indicating that Ahmad Shabery's final duty as chairman was to preside over the Felda Supreme Management Meeting held yesterday. During his two-year tenure, he significantly contributed to strengthening the relationship between Felda and its subsidiaries, particularly by expediting the delisting of FGV Holdings Berhad. This move was pivotal in restoring confidence among strategic partners and boosting Felda's reputation.

The statement highlighted Ahmad Shabery's 'Everything Felda' initiative, which became central to unifying the organization and its community. Felda's management and employees conveyed their gratitude for his service, dedication, and leadership during his time as chairman.
